How to apply

Applying for a commercial property is a series of clear steps. Here is what to expect, and what we will ask of you.

   Enquiry and viewing

   Get in touch about the property you are interested in and we will arrange a viewing. Come with a clear idea of the space you need and how you plan to use it.

   The application

   If it is right for you, we take your details and start the checks. The sooner you get these back to us, the sooner we can move.

3. 3

   What we check, and why

   We confirm your identity and company information, take references, and look at your accounts. For newer businesses we may ask for a guarantor where the covenant needs support. (Covenant is simply how strong you are at paying the rent.) This protects the landlord and keeps the process fair.

   Heads of terms

   We set out the main terms of the deal in writing, so both sides know what has been agreed before the lawyers get involved.

5. 5

   Lease signing

   The lease is drawn up and signed. For routine matters we use our own proven templates, which keeps things quicker and cheaper.

6. 6

   Getting the keys

   Once the lease is signed and the deposit and first payment are in, the space is yours.
